Terms of Use
Mofi Study is a study timer with a room you decorate. By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and you must not create an account on someone else's behalf without permission.
What other people can see
Almost everything in Mofi Study is private to you. Two things are not, and only if you choose to fill them in:
- Your shared name. Blank by default. If you set one, friends and members of groups you join can see it.
- Group names. Visible to everyone in that group.
Friends can also see your study minutes, your streak, whether you are studying right now, and your room if you make it visible. You choose whether to add a friend, and you can remove or block them at any time.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not use your shared name, a group name, or any other text you can enter to post content that is:
- obscene, sexually explicit, or vulgar;
- hateful, or that attacks or demeans a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation or gender identity;
- harassing, threatening, bullying, or intended to intimidate another person;
- impersonating another person, or pretending to be affiliated with an organisation you are not;
- promoting violence, self-harm, illegal activity, or the exploitation of minors;
- spam, advertising, or an attempt to drive people to another service.
How we enforce this
We do three things:
- We filter. Shared names and group names are checked on our server before they are saved. Names that fail are rejected. Because the check runs on the server, it applies to every version of the app.
- You can report and block. Every friend and every group member has a menu with Report and Block. Reporting someone also blocks them immediately, so you do not have to wait for us to act before they disappear from your app.
- We act on reports within 24 hours. Reports reach us as soon as they are filed. When a report is upheld we remove the offending content and we can bar the account from using a shared name or joining groups.
We may remove content and restrict or terminate an account that breaks these rules, without notice.
Purchases
Mofi Study offers a one-time purchase that unlocks premium content. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under that store's policy.
Your content
What you create in the app stays yours. By entering a shared name or a group name you allow us to show it to the people described above, for as long as you keep it set. You can clear your shared name at any time and it stops being shown.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app, under Account. Deleting removes your account and the data attached to it from our servers. What this means in detail is described in our Privacy Policy.
The app is provided as it is
We work to keep Mofi Study running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, the app is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law of your country that cannot be limited by agreement.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant we will say so in the app.
